Expert Shutters Is Honored Twice For Business Excellence
Expert Shutters was honored by Grow Florida as a Florida Company to Watch for 2019. Florida Companies to Watch was developed by the Edward Lowe Foundation as a unique way to recognize and honor second stage companies. 600 companies were nominated for the award and, through various evaluations, that group was narrowed to 100 finalists. Through site visits and further evaluation the 50 winners were chosen.
Florida Companies to Watch recognizes and honors second-stage companies with 25 to 75 employees that demonstrate high performance in the marketplace with innovative strategies and processes. Second stage companies are far beyond the startup phase and are “worth watching” as they continue to innovate and grow. Selection is based on steady growth in employment and revenue, as well as strength in leadership, corporate culture, community support, philanthropy, and innovation in management or technology. After 31 years in business, striving to innovate and serve our customers with the highest quality products and services, we were honored to be selected for this award.
Expert Shutters was also nominated for the Manufacturer of the Year Award given by the South Florida Manufacturers Association for companies with between 25 and 76 employees. The SFMA has been recognizing outstanding manufacturers since 1961. The organization advocates for and supports manufacturers to further economic development in South Florida and represents over 5,000 manufacturers.
84 businesses of various sizes were nominated for Manufacturer of the Year for 2019. Through conference calls, site visits, and evaluations conducted by members of the SFMA Evaluations Team, the number was narrowed down to 16 semi-finalists in 4 groups based on total number of employees, 1-25, 26-75, 76-200, 201+. A winner and a runner up were chosen in each group based on over 140 criteria ranging from revenue to manufacturing innovation.
Expert Shutters was the Runner Up in the 26-75 employee group, competing against other outstanding South Florida companies, all of which have been in business for over 30 years.
We were very honored to accept the award in recognition of our efforts to contribute to the business community in South Florida.
